Lance Johnson is a Montana native and was drawn to art at an early age influenced by his mother who was an artist. Lance Graduated from EMC (MSUB) with a double Major in Art and Art Education. Lance studied under Artists Ben Steele, Neil Jussila, and John Pollock. Lance works as a full-time artist in his Billings Studio and Gallery enjoying watercolor and oils. He draws his inspiration from the beauty of his home state, Montana. His subjects range from cascading waterfalls, fly fishermen, Native American subjects, wildlife, florals and high country landscapes, old structures and more. Lance stays busy conducting workshops and traveling to art shows throughout the region. You’ll also see him at Quick Draws helping to raise money for a variety of Charities, Foundations and Art Guilds. His Art has been selected into many regional juried shows, winning top honors. His paintings are in collections around the world.
